1990s

Another decade full of music projects, tours, and concerts.   Miss Faye had the distinguished honor of being asked by the City Of Oakland to be the vocalist in the all star jazz line up for Nelson Mandela's bay area appearance.

While already known for turning out many young, successful musicians, it was the 1990s that Miss Faye officially began teaching music & music history to singers & musicians.  She worked with organizations such as Urban Arts, Black Repertory Theater, and Living Jazz.

During this time, Faye Carol provided an opportunity for her daughter Kito Gamble to be the musical director and pianist of her group.  The mother-daughter team performed locally, toured internationally & recorded albums FAYE CAROL & THE FLOW. Miss Faye also appeared with artists such as Albert King, Pharaoh Sanders, Bobby Hutcherson, Billy Higgins,  Steve Turre, and Charles Brown.
